Si, a dire il vero quando si riesce ad installare funziona egregiamente bene, ma come dice jk ho un problema sui driver che sono vecchi edinstallati su un vista business a 64 mi tira dei casini assurdi.
Sono mesi che cerco una soluzione ma non trovo info, nemmeno da hp.

Firmware/driver error

I've upgraded the driver and firmware to the latest versions. However the firmware didn't recognize the plotter, so I chose emergency in the software/firmware and it uploaded the new firmware. After that however the plotter started to act strange and will plot and sometimes not with 79:04 error. I applied the HP service sollution and worked/not worked. Now this error is gone and I have the next problem: Plot send and shows Windows error (send/don't send). Sometimes only. If it sends the plot it will go trough the printer list and then on the plotter display it shows processing forever.
Have tried downgrading firmware will not go since the firmware can't see the plotter. With show all plotters it shows the name but with an x trough the name. Have installed all older plotter drivers etc. Reinstalled etc. No luck. Computer specs; WinXp SP2; Pentium 4; ACAD 2005.

We will need a bit more information than that - what operating system, what software applications you are trying to print from, driver versions etc.
Does the printer power up ok, can you print a printer information sheet. then its a question of how its connected to the pc - parallel usb or network, then you have to make sure the drivers are correct for the configuration you have - eg HPGL2 card or not, Postscript or not.

HP 500 DJ Plotting R14 created dwg from AutoCAD 2005 LT or 2006 LT

Whenever I try to plot drawings created by others in AutoCad R14 I get the following error: "Printer driver for HP DesignJet printers in Winstos NC has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I am running the HP driver called "HP DesignJet 500 24 by HP"
I have tried the FULLPLOTPATH=0 command discussed in other threads, but AutoCad does not recognize the command.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

check the version of the printer driver, if you have a long path length to your file then consider mapping a drive to a share closer to the drawings to shorten the path. To check if this is the problem try moving a copy of the file to your desktop and see if you can print to it there, if you are using any of the version 6 drivers (6.03 or 6.11) try an earlier version (5.35) if you have an old copy of the install disc.

Designjet 800PS Firmware Update not working...

I have downloaded the update utility for WindowsXP and run it 3 times. Each time the plotter LCD says that it is updating, the PC says that it is sending 3 files, but when it completes, the unplug message that the instructions say should show up on the printer never does, and the firmware listed in the information menu is the old version. The PC says that the upgrade was successful, but when it is run again, it finds the plotter with the old firmware and prompts to re-upgrade. Any ideas?

I can't select the custom paper option for my Designjet 500ps in applications. I am noticing that the ppd does not appear in the ppd box also... We are wasting so much paper...
Does anyone know how to solve?

which driver version are you using? can you get to the edit paper list - if so is there a button to check saying show custom paper sizes.
If you go into the printer preferences from your printers and faxes folder can you see the custom sizes, if you run autocad do you have the hide system printers box checked under tools - options. you should also be able to check a box labelled either save roll paper, or inked area only all of which might help

HP 500+HP-GL2 6.11 DRIVER

I have a designhet HP-500 (c7770b) and I recently install an HPGL2 card. I have updated the driver from 5.34 to 6.11 so I can plot in HPGL2 language. Using this driver (6.11) I wasn't able to plot anything. In order to plot I am still using the old driver 5.34. What is the problem with the 6.11 driver and I can't plot.

if you are using AutoCAD2005 then you wont be able to use the 6.11 driver, if on the other hand you have AutoCAD2006, try setting FULLPLOTPATH=0 and then you should be able to use the 6.11 driver.

Images print in color, drawings in black

We have a Designjet 500 and we are plotting drawings from Autodesk Map 3D 2005. We just installed the latest driver for the plotter and now I have the problem that when I plot my drawings in black (with lineweights), my images still print in color. The old driver plotted them in grayscale. Is there a way to make them plot like before?

If I use grayscale, then my lines in Autocad will not use the pen styles assigned to them. Each color has a certain pen weight and using Monochrome Graphics accepts those but grayscale doesn't

DJ 800 problems

I cannot get my plotter to print using the latest HP driver for ACAD and XP. I am currently using the driver "Hewlett-Packard HP GL/2 Plotter" driver (I think this is a generic windows driver; is that right). It does work through my parallel port, but the color scheme is wrong and does not plot the colors I want. Does anyone know how to configure this driver to have the same pallette as I am using with ACAD.
